Havelange

According to "Harzé dans le passé, en 1000 ans d'histoire" (Amédée Polet) (Harzé in the past in 1000 years of history), Havelange could be of a Gallo-Roman origin.
It's an old stopover of the Roman "Vecquée" spreading from Ardennes au Condroz.
You can notice there a monolith called the "Pîre â hotlis" (stone of the basket carriers) of celtic origin.

Havelange has known a great growth for a few years thanks to the arrival of young couples settling themselves there and to the amount of holiday houses.

Not far from the village, the craft area of Harzé is made up of dynamic firms and the containers area allows the inhabitants of the city to get involved in the sorting and the waste recycling.
