Grottes de Remouchamps

Natural wonder carved over the centuries, the visit of the Remouchamps caves begins with a walk of over a kilometer through a magical setting. In this maze of galleries, you will discover stalagmites and stalactites and you will arrive in the first inhabited room 8000 years ago by Paleolithic hunters. The walk then takes you through the old siphons of the Rubicon (underground river), to the Great Hall of the Cathedral.

State-of-the-art LED lighting perfectly highlights the various concretions and other geological features of the cave.

 

The rest of the tour is by boat for the longest underground navigation in the world! Under the guidance of a guide, you will enjoy a fabulous show where every natural wonder will be explained in detail.

The visit lasts 1h15. The explanations are given in 4 languages ​​(F, NL, E, D).

Access : Motorway E25, exit 46 (Aywaille / Remouchamps) (25km south of Liège).

Opening hours : Open every day

  • From 01/02 to 30/11 from 10am (holidays included - the closing time varies according to the season).
  • From 01/12 to 31/01 every day during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Public transport : From Liège-Guillemins railway station or Aywaille train station, take bus line 64, stop at Remouchamps.

Attention : the trains and buses are not frequent, think to inform you before your departure.
